Oliver groves & ruffles
Discover the authenticity and charm of the olive grove and beehives of Château de la Roque Forcade, located in the heart of Provence.
Between emotion and tradition, our estate awakens all your senses with its open landscapes, its scents of lavender, thyme and rosemary, and its responsible agricultural production.
Our olive grove, made up of olive trees typical of Bouches-du-Rhône, produces an exceptional Mediterranean olive oil.
At the same time, our hives, managed according to the principles of organic beekeeping, contribute to natural pollination which is essential to our ecosystem.
It is in this natural setting of the lands of Provence and in a sustainable cultivation approach that we have developed our range of cosmetics (balms, soaps, oil).
This harmony between olive trees and bees reflects our commitment to sustainable and environmentally friendly agriculture. Come and enjoy a unique experience and savour the authentic products of our estate.
Our Olive Trees
The Château de la Roque Forcade olive grove is a genuine Provencal treasure. Our olive trees, carefully cultivated, produce a Mediterranean olive oil with a fruity taste and moderate bitterness. Our olive oil is the result of sustainable farming and respect for nature.
Our olive grove is made up of 3 types of olive trees:
-
L'Olivier Bouteillan "Cayanne" is an ancient variety originating in the Var, vigorous, à quick to set fruit. It produces olives that are ovoid, pulpy and ripe, green then ...
- L'Olivier Aglandau is an ancient variety from the Alpes de Haute Provence. It produces ovoid, firm, fleshy olives with a winey pink colour ...
-
L'Olivier Salonenque. Bouche du Rhône. Originally from Salon-de-Provence, this is a variety of olive grown mainly in Provence. It yields well and is used to produce oil and table olives in the form of broken olives.
Picked at the estate from October onwards, our olives mature throughout the year without being processed, offering their best flavours for your enjoyment.
our olive oil

Our olives are grown without any chemical treatment .
Hand-harvesting from October to November ensures that only the best olives are selected.
The olives are carefully brought to mature in crates in our cellar , allowing their aromas to fully develop before pressing.
Our olives are stone pressed at the certified organic Velaux mill, or at the St. Vincent mill, depending on the desired taste specificity, to obtain black fruity or green fruity oils.
Our olive oils are of extra virgin quality , obtained by first cold pressing , thus guaranteeing authentic flavours and intact nutritional properties.
Our beehives
On the Château de la Roque Forcade estate, we have opted for small-scale farming and sensible management. Surrounded by orchard fruit, lavender, thyme and rosemary, our bees produce tasty honey. Our hives are managed according to the strict principles of organic beekeeping. The result is a Provencal honey with authentic, delicate flavours.
Located in Peypin, between Marseille and Aix-en-Provence, our estate now has around twenty hives spread across all our gardens.
